Giggle incontinence

Giggle incontinence is the leakage of urine during laughter. Physiotherapy management may include managing co-existing bladder urgency and the use of neuromodulation (TENS). 

Most children will outgrow this condition in their teenage years. Nevertheless, it is important to seek help for giggle incontinence as it can significantly impact a child or adolescent’s self-esteem.
